Indians worry about Dog killings in China but ignore Calf slaughter in Kerala?

For last few years we have been netizens protesting over dog meat festival in China.  Many people went to their streets protesting against something that was not even taking place in their country.

In China, dog meat is a delicacy just like Americans love KFC, Pork or Beef. Such people do not believe in animal rights of cows, buffaloes, chickens, turkeys, fishes, pigs.

Protest against Yulin festival spread like a storm and spread all over the internet including India where people shared protested photos on social media and signed petitions urging to close the festival. There were campaigns in protest of the festival.

for example. http://www.wildlifeplanet.net/indias-youth-react-to-yulin-festival.html

In India we too have similar festivals too. For Hindus during Kali Pujas in certain places goats are sacrificed. For muslims they kill both cows and goats in Bakr Eid in masses. For Christians there can be no thanksgiving without killing a turkey.

Killing of animals for food is common. Humans love meat and kills in masses the animals they find tasty.

However in Kerala a few people slaughtered a calf in the middle of the street in order to show off their freedom to eat what they want.

The motive was not to eat, but to show off their aggression which lead to the death of the calf. They were protesting in the controversial beef ban issue against the government. However there is no ban on beef but this act was done by politicians to fuel the muslims and bias their votes towards themselves. They did not hesitate to spill the blood of the calf for their political gains.

Should the Indians protest against killing of the calf and just ignore it?
